- I went to Smith Street today! Need to grab something for my sister and I bought her a bag. Hope she will like it cos I love the design of it. (wanted to get it for myself) I guess our taste are not that far off.
Smith Street is far from home and I walked there alone under windy condition. It’s freezing cold out of home. Hate it. But anyway, Smith Street is a street in Fitzroy where you can find most of the sports brands with it’s product under-priced. :D (from NIKE to Brooks) However, I have only got a pair of designer shoes from there. Nice and neat.
In less than an hour, I headed home. Need to drop the items before meeting the rest for dinner at Pacific House again. (Simply can’t resist the food there) I realized that the attitude of the staffs in Pacific House sucksX10 and HK told me that, “ their business is so good! They can lose any customer. Look, there are so many people outside queueing and dying to eat here!” (He didn’t said these exact words but it brings out the same meaning) heh.. There really is a long queue and luckily we were smart enough to call and book first. (we’re experienced customer of pacific house)
This dinner is somewhat like a farewell dinner for me. J so touched cos all of them have papers to study for and yet fork out some time for this dinner. Furthermore, they even took time to buy me white roses (my favourite :D), a present and a beautifully decorated meaningful card! I’m really touched.. Thanks so much to Dhatch, Esther and David! Study hard and good luck for your papers! Rmb to drop by S’pore and I’ll bring you around. I love the roses, teddy and card.
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Wilfred encountered this problem in bidding for one of his bottle. I find it pretty ridiculous.
The situation is…
the bottle was listed in Yahoo Auction Japan.
The seller will not ship internationally.
Payment must be made through Japan bank transfer.
The worst part is that Yahoo Japan is in Japanese language and
only buyers with a Yahoo Japan account can bid items!
Is Japanese trying to close its door to overseas buyers?
I don’t know man… Some say they are just too lazy to ship items overseas. But, I think maybe they just want to sell good things to their own people. (Selfish?) Or maybe they are not so good with English Language and therefore, can’t communicate with international buyers. Lotsa reason but I guess all applies.
It’s pretty unfair if Japanese can buy things from other countries but others have to find a difficult way to get things out of Japan. Luckily, there’s some sort of a middleman “occupation” (or what the heck you call it). The middleman will communicate with the seller, bid the item, pay the item, ship the item to buyer. Of course, they will charge for this service. (smart business!) Just by switching hands, middleman can earn some money. Not bad at all! Maybe we can start to consider learning Jap, migrate to Jap, and start this kinda middleman job. Hah..
I’m going back to SG so soon… I hope to visit Australia again maybe next year. Hopefully Uni isn’t that stress as how people describe.
