- I had Cities in Transition lecture today and the lecturer touched on the traffic(not too sure whether was it about traffic) in cities. With that, he showed us this video about the traffic in India which I find it amazing how the traffic flow without traffic lights. The drivers are such professionals! I'm sure I'll panic if I were to drive on such roads and I'll be stucked there till it's absolutely safe to pass through.
Amazing right? Amazing how nobody died? haha..

- I need a mini portable voice recorder!
I need to record lectures! Especially for growth, cities, stats. argh!!
But, is it worth to get something like that for 100 over dollars?
I have 2 models in mind.
Sony ICDSX57DR9
Record up to 47 hours and 35 minutes in LP mode with 128MB of built-in flash memory. Compatible with Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Preferred Voice to Print software, the all-aluminum ICD-SX57DR9 lets you play back your recording and watch as your words appear on the screen. It's also perfect for business meetings or class lecturesÂjust record it all and take better notes later in the comfort of your home. An innovative Voice Operated Recording (VOR) mode saves valuable recording time by stopping during pauses in a lecture, and begins again without missing a syllable.
Olympus VN4100PC
Record over 144 hours of uninterrupted audio on the VN-4100PC then transfer files to your PC with speed and ease by way of the direct PC Link. With one simple cable connection, files can be transferred to a computer and be organized, listened to, and even emailed to friends and family. The compact design makes it functional and portable.
I need some comments as to which one should I get?
I personally prefer the Sony one. haha..

- Alright,I'm all well after 3 days of rest. I'm not sure whether I had gastric flu or food poisoning cos they seemed the same to me. I often get gastric flu in the past which will make me vomit and suffer from diarrhea too.
Back to some things that had happened last week. My granny had a fall a few weeks back and last thursday morning was her scheduled operation to insert something to support her cracked spine and also, to remove tiny pieces of bones that had fell off. Due to the operation, she was not supposed to consume any more food from 12am,thursday. What made me really angry was that we waited the whole day for the operation and yet it still wasn't my granny's turn. I was till evening that we were told that it's too late for an operation. WTH?! She have to starve herslf for so long and in the end, no operation. (I know I know. operations are unpredictable therefore, I shouldn't blame the hospital. But, I'm very sure they will be able to estimate the time in the afternoon instead of giving a confirm "no" in the evening)I think my granny was the forth in the queue that day. If the second patient went in in the noon, they should be able to confirm that my granny is not gonna take the op today. Then, she can eat!
Poor granny.. My granny suffers from Senile Dementia and has difficulties regconising all her grandchild. She don't even remember she has an op and she's so hungry that she kept asking for food. screwed. Furthermore, she was admitted on thursday again cos of the op which means we wasted one day of hospital fees just for waiting! In this case, can that day's fee be amortized? dream on...
So, we grumbled and argued and (whatever we did), the doctor placed her first in the queue on friday. Her operation was a success and is recovering well! But, her dementia is really getting worse. sigh.. Another operation to go for thou.
I have a strong bond with this granny of mine. She was the one who looked after me for the first 10 years of my life. We shared many moments which I will always remember but it's a pity she lost all these memories..
I went to the hospital on friday and left after she had been pushed into the op theatre. From there, I went to get my left knee fixed at the physician with the company of my aunt. And, we went back to the hospital again.
Friday night was out with brother Laurence. We went to eat "zhi cha" at this ulu hawker. (that's why I suspected myself of food poisoning)We ate sambal kangkong, hot spicy mussels (this might be the culprit!!) and pork ribs. Pretty delicious. We didn't specify whether we wanted spicy or not and he just did 2 spicy dishes. I kinda suspect the spiciness is to cover up the staleness of seafood.(I heard that's what most cooks do)!#%^%$#@ if that's what he did and thus what had happened to me! haha!
Been like 3 years since bro and me last caught up with each another. It was a not too bad catching up session at acid. Thereafter, we cabbed home. 2 hours later, I merlioned. haha..
So, do you think it's gastric flu or food poisoning? The doctor didn't determine thou. haha..
Would like to thank Pei Pei for selling me her stats book at 30bucks only! the cheapest deal you can find among the seniors! :) thanks!
And to Ms Valerie Zhou JX, yes you from NHPS, good luck for your last paper! study hard! :) and thanks for your tag.

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHERLYN!
Has been a long long time since we last met up. Been feeling bad about being uncontactable before Jason went over to China and thus, missed the last gathering dinner. I miss PPWC ppl! (except chia. ahem..) haha.. Well, Chia is just so weird. I think he has something against me! I will not forget what he did!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KAIXUAN! (not sure whether you've changed your number so I'm wishing you here anyway)
You have changed quite abit! Like, grew thinner? We lost contact since don't know when, right? haha.. Didnt know you work in VIVO. I'm quite surprised to bump into you! Meet up sometime soon for coffee and tell me more about your pretty gf!
I had Fundamentals of Project Management lecture this morning and it's pretty interesting! (Better than Statistics!) The instructor is humourous. 2 hours lecture is too much for me. I can't seem to concentrate after 1 hour. It will be a long day for me tomorrow with lectures starting from 8am-4pm without breaks in between. yawn.. wish me luck for a full-packed day of lectures without any breaks! hooray!

- I am so tired!! My legs' muscles are aching. My left ankle and knee hurt. Useless left leg..
I have to wake up at 5plus this morning to get ready for school. I have to wake this early cos lecture is at 8am+we're meeting 730am at clementi to cab+we're afraid we lose our way. good reasons to wake up early? (NO!) school just... sucks ok.
Alright, there is only 1 lecture today which is Intro to Stats and we didn't print the slides. Furthermore, the instructor is unable to speak louder. Thus, we (me,vell, yy,esther,yl) sat there and chat for the whole 2 hours. (Woke up so early to chat in lecture theatre!) gosh..
It's always very interesting to hang put with vell and Miss K. Get to hear alot of things which I never know. Let's go watch ALONE! and more shopping. and more chit chatting! "buck up jason! I think she just need alittle more time and you just need to put in a little more effort. good luck!"
BTW, Miss K your shades nice! :) I think you'll regret if you bought the other one instead.
Vell should stop talking for 8hrs and let your throat rest! haha..
Why is it so packed everywhere today? It's a monday!
We (miss k, jason, vell and me) went to eat sakae tea time buffet. Another sucky restaurant.
I really don't like to blog about the daily activities unless there's something interesting to talk about. Otherwise, I wouldn't be interested to read about someone's daily activities like casual shopping etc. Right?
Ok I'm right. haha..

- There are many things that are not as perfect as it seems.
There are many people who are not as strong as they show.
Many tend to hide their true feelings and self.
Thoughts are often shared but thoughts can be secrets too.
Everyone has secrets which they chose to hide from others.
Who doesn't?
A silent raining night. I shared a secret with you.
I'm not the strong girl whom you think I am.
I am just like a toy which needs a kid's attention.
I need a break. I am getting ridiculously out of cure.
BTW, happy birthday to a friend who often comes to my mind. A friendship which i regret losing. May you enjoy your day with max joy!
p.s. I'm J

- HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!
School will start next week. I just hope I have longer vacation!
My modules in NUS are :
1) Introduction to Statistics
2) Intorduction to Project Management
3) Cities in Transition
4) Growth and Development in SE Asia
5) Gender and Society
I am so very glad that my bid actually succeeded for the electives. However, those electives are not what I really wanted. There isn't much choice for me cos I don't have much points to bid for electives and they can't offer me year 2's modules cos of high quota (priority goes to year 2s first). It's pretty complicated to explain the bidding system here. You are so lucky if your modules are pre-allocated to you!
I will only have 3 school days if tutorial balloting goes as I planned. HURRAY! more free time!
I wonder how's Mark doing in camp! haha! KZ sms me and said it was fun. cool.. It's the first time I hear people comment NS field camp as 'fun'. haha! Can't wait to meet them and to see a change in them! And, of course, listen to stories they have to share.
check out this cat! It resemble this particular character in Pokemon!
Look alike?? haha..
I'm just too bored. I miss Wilfred! 15 more weeks to go..

- Okay here are the Botak Jones dinner outing's photos!
I personally don't like the food at Botak Jones. I've tried it twice and it was disappointing at both times. I guess there won't be a third time for me to patronize Jones again.
Yesterday was NUS flag day! I was pretty glad I skipped it cos I heard that it suck. Students are supposed to make sure that the tin is at LEAST 3/4 full before you can return the tin back to NUS. LIKE WTH! Helping out on flag day is a complete voluntary action and they should be glad that there are students who are willing to fork out time and effort to sell flag! @$%^@#$%
So, I mentioned I skipped selling flag for shopping with 2 new found friends, Esther and Yan Yan! Basically, 3 of us skipped flag day together. :D We spent most of the time chilling at cafes.
Hope that NUS life will be smooth-sailing for us!

- I guess if I don't blog soon, my readership will fall. :D
Been rather busy over matriculation exercise for studies in NUS. It has been a really bad habit to sleep late and wake up late. I have been sleeping no earlier than 2 and waking not before 12 everyday for the past few MONTHS! Matriculation started and I have to wake up so early just to rush to school for it! Guess I still need time to get used to it.
(I have this really weird illness(if you call it). I can't set an alarm before I sleep cos I will end up waiting the whole night for the alarm to ring!) Can anyone tell me how can I overcome this? It's bothering me.
Okay, back to NUS. 0 week in NUS kinda suck. Alot of time was wasted in waiting and waiting for.. nothing! Therefore, I simply just skipped today's activities.
I am quite looking forward to Uni life in NUS, the modules that I am gonna take and CCA! (Vell, Mordern Jazz or Hip-Hop?)
I miss Melbourne! I miss friends in Melbourne! Planning to go over again in December for Christmas!
I was surfing the net when I came across some of DawnYang's before cosmetics surgerIES photos. Gosh! It's pretty amazing how this kind of surgery create wonders! I have to admit that Dawn really look great in photos now but her face look rather 'fake' in real person. It leads me to wonder what will happen to her when she grow old say, 20-30 years later? Will her surgeries flaws start to show? I can't imagine.
I realised I have been blogging about cosmetics surgery. Haha..
Good news! I passed the Qualifying English Test with 5 as my grade! Not the best but I have never expected a pass as I have heard 'horrifying' stories of the test. Furthermore, the test was indeed pretty tough. I was told that only a small percentage would pass the test each year. I don't know how true it is but I know quite a number of my friends passed it too. It makes a pretty big difference if you passed the test as one will not have to take the English course. With this, you can clear other modules.
My life have become pretty boring with most of my time spent at home. Best friends are unable to meet up recently. SAD! So, if anyone need a shopping partner, movie companion, food/supper hunting crew etc etc, just call me! I'm most willing to fork out free time to go out!
Okay, I miss fishing once again. Should I just go learn fishing?
Oh, Botak Jones dinner outing's photos not up yet cos I have no time! Come back again and you might see it! (:
Take care people! Have a great weekend!
