- Alright,I'm all well after 3 days of rest. I'm not sure whether I had gastric flu or food poisoning cos they seemed the same to me. I often get gastric flu in the past which will make me vomit and suffer from diarrhea too.
Back to some things that had happened last week. My granny had a fall a few weeks back and last thursday morning was her scheduled operation to insert something to support her cracked spine and also, to remove tiny pieces of bones that had fell off. Due to the operation, she was not supposed to consume any more food from 12am,thursday. What made me really angry was that we waited the whole day for the operation and yet it still wasn't my granny's turn. I was till evening that we were told that it's too late for an operation. WTH?! She have to starve herslf for so long and in the end, no operation. (I know I know. operations are unpredictable therefore, I shouldn't blame the hospital. But, I'm very sure they will be able to estimate the time in the afternoon instead of giving a confirm "no" in the evening)I think my granny was the forth in the queue that day. If the second patient went in in the noon, they should be able to confirm that my granny is not gonna take the op today. Then, she can eat!
Poor granny.. My granny suffers from Senile Dementia and has difficulties regconising all her grandchild. She don't even remember she has an op and she's so hungry that she kept asking for food. screwed. Furthermore, she was admitted on thursday again cos of the op which means we wasted one day of hospital fees just for waiting! In this case, can that day's fee be amortized? dream on...
So, we grumbled and argued and (whatever we did), the doctor placed her first in the queue on friday. Her operation was a success and is recovering well! But, her dementia is really getting worse. sigh.. Another operation to go for thou.
I have a strong bond with this granny of mine. She was the one who looked after me for the first 10 years of my life. We shared many moments which I will always remember but it's a pity she lost all these memories..
I went to the hospital on friday and left after she had been pushed into the op theatre. From there, I went to get my left knee fixed at the physician with the company of my aunt. And, we went back to the hospital again.
Friday night was out with brother Laurence. We went to eat "zhi cha" at this ulu hawker. (that's why I suspected myself of food poisoning)We ate sambal kangkong, hot spicy mussels (this might be the culprit!!) and pork ribs. Pretty delicious. We didn't specify whether we wanted spicy or not and he just did 2 spicy dishes. I kinda suspect the spiciness is to cover up the staleness of seafood.(I heard that's what most cooks do)!#%^%$#@ if that's what he did and thus what had happened to me! haha!
Been like 3 years since bro and me last caught up with each another. It was a not too bad catching up session at acid. Thereafter, we cabbed home. 2 hours later, I merlioned. haha..
So, do you think it's gastric flu or food poisoning? The doctor didn't determine thou. haha..
