It wasn't a very pleasant trip other than the fact that I have bought quite alot of stuff which i want. (not what I needed, get it?) Unpleasant, reason being firstly, our to flight was delayed for 7 hours! You cannot imagine how we spent our time in the DFS. (Stoning and entertaining ourself by counting strands of hair. ha.) Secondly, the flight was horrible. J**S*tar sucks ok. Thirdly, my mama fell sick on the second day of the trip and dad has to send her to the bumrungrad hospital cos she can't stop vomiting. Lastly, I had diahrrea on the last day followed by gastric pain. (just recovered like yesterday) Wonderful trip! (sacarstic tone)
But, this trip was the trip which I finally try to remember roads of Bangkok, name of prominent-must-go places (MBK, Jatuchak, Suan Lum Night Bazzar, Pat Pong etc etc). Previously, I were too reliant on my dad (for your info, my dad has been stationed in bangkok for 8years. yes, he do fly back to Singapore like every 1-2-3 months) cos he's very familiar with the roads and places in Bangkok. I'll just have to hop into his car, sleep through the horrible traffic congestion and tada! reached.
Bangkok is not a bad place. I often wonder about their gender issue. I felt that thailand has the most number of transverse (either way). Weird. Some are really pretty but once you discover the flaws. kiaokiao... you'll regret being too curious about confirming it's gender. ha.
Not all businessmen are honest in Thailand, especially so when their customers are foreigners. There was this incident where I asked about the price of a pair of slippers and that person told me 350bhat. It was 199baht like less tha 24hrs ago! So immediately I said, "how come yesterday 199 today 350?" And, he gave a guilty face and admitted he lied. My dad saw the whole thing and told him in thai that he's not being very honest. So, since he's not very honest, I see no point in letting him earn my 199baht. We decided to walk off and he suddenly say he will cut it down to 150baht. He then bent down to pick a lousy-ugly looking slippers and said, "this 150. that 199 still." Wow! I think you can almost hear my heart thumping so hard with anger! I just gave him a hard stare to warn him "you try play punk somemore..." He laughed and we just stepped away when a lady approached me. She is the ladyboss la.. She saw the whole picture and wish to compensate by offering 150 for a pair of slippers which I wanted. Nice lady but ran of my size. Too bad. ha.
Okay enough of words. Time to please your eyes with colors! (CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE)

Look how we spent our time. I was busy counting lightbulbs ok.

When we were really young, we often thought of how we will look like in future. Are we gonna be tall? Are we gonna be pretty? haha.. now, we've somehow found an answer! You will see what i mean as you look further down.

Have you guys heard of this sweet looking 4 year old girl who had been missing in Portugal since 3rd May 2007? A family of 5 were in Portugal for a vacation. They are from Rothley, Leicestershire. It has been 128 days since Maddie's disappearance and hopes of finding her has been deminishing day by day. My heartfelt blessings to Maddie and I hope that she'll be found(alive) someday.
Start of information from http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2005320001-2007411047,00.html :
THE mystery of Maddie’s disappearance began on May 3.
8.30PM: The McCanns join their friends at a tapas bar less than a minute’s walk from the apartment. Each adult in the party of nine then took turns to look in on the kids.
9.05PM: Gerry checked the children. He is believed to be the last person to have seen Maddie.
9.30PM: Friend of the family Jane Tanner spotted a man carrying a child close to the McCanns’ flat — but it never crossed her mind as suspicious.
10PM: Kate returned to the room but there was no sign of Maddie. Guests and staff helped search the resort after she ran screaming from the apartment.
10.30PM: Within half an hour police were called. But child abduction is so rare in Portugal, officers thought Maddie had simply wandered off. Hours passed before they took it seriously.
By 8am the following day, the hunt for Madeleine was a full-scale child abduction investigation.
May 12 was Maddie’s fourth birthday. On May 14 cops searched a villa and quizzed Briton Robert Murat before releasing him.
On August 7 a local paper reported traces of blood were found at the McCanns’ apartment.
Four days later Portuguese cops said Maddie may be dead.
On August 31 the McCanns said they would sue a paper which claimed police believed they killed Maddie.
Kate was quizzed for hours and declared a suspect on September 7. Gerry was also interviewed.
End of information from http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2005320001-2007411047,00.html
Is Maddie still alive? Was she kidnapped? Are her parents prime suspect of her disappearance? Where is she now? We do not know. But, like me, you certainly hope that she is still alive, right?

God bless.

- Nan Hua Primary School 90th Anniversary Dinner
Lastnight was NHPS 90th Anniversary Dinner at Suntec Convention Ballroom. It was a meaningful dinner for me as graduates get together once again to catch up with life. I really miss primary school days when everyone were still so playful and lively. Now, we have all grown up.
