WHITE, FLUFFY LOVE (POSTED 2 WEEKS AGO)
I just simply love baby SaSa! She’s the most adorable, attention-seeking, feet-biting furball I have ever met!
Fred and me brought her to ECP on Tuesday hoping to meet other dogs so that she can learn how to mingle cos as of now, all she do is bark and growl at other dogs. It’s a bad sign (I read from somewhere) cos she will grow up to be very difficult to handle. She seem to have a thing about other dogs that she has to be so fierce. no idea why.. Can’t fork out the time to bring her to ECP on Sundays thou. There are usually more dogs on Sundays.
Back to Tuesday. Yes, we went to ECP and indeed we saw 1 golden approaching and yes too, she started growling. She barked so fiercely that the golden looks so confused and into defence mode. Sign. it takes time!
Brought her back for a trim down of her fur and have a hair cut cos her fringe is covering her eyes badly. I personally do not like maltese with short fringe cos they will look weird from the side though it will look very cute from the front. But, no choice, have to cut cos she can’t seem to see.
Glad. She still look so lovely after the cut! love her to the max!
Too bad she is not by our side now cos she has to be at home until monday. The dog placed here for boarding seems very unfriendly. resulted from not being able to mingle around with other dogs since young. I don’t want SaSa to be like this in the future! gosh.
I can’t imagine my puppy dying due to some accident. just 2 days ago, while travelling along lim chu kang road, we witnessed a dog being ran-over by a car. It wasn’t the driver’s fault. There were a about 6-8 cars on the road travelling at around 70-90km/hr when suddenly a black dog dashed out from the left running across 4 lanes. All the drivers braked to slow down and avoided the black dog and all of a sudden another brown dog ran out attempting to chase after the black dog. BANG! the brown dog down. eyes wide open, belly up with hind leg kicking in the air. I think it’s not gonna make it cos the impact was quite big. I saw the driver drove to the shoulder but am not sure what he did after that. Perhaps he called ava to check on the dog. No idea. It’s very sad and especially sad when you have a fur-kid of your own. I can only hope that the black dog is fine.
I read an article today about the grooming incident which led to the death of a 3 year old maltese. It’s again another heart-aching incident. No one except the groomer and perhaps the boss knows what exactly happened during the grooming session. Picking up grooming has taught me alot of stuffs that I have never knew. I can understand how tough it is to groom a dog cos some dogs tend to be more playful or more agressive than others. It takes time to groom a dog. Most owners just want a cheap and fast grooming service. Nothing good comes cheap and fast. This is a very simple and logical sentence. Things that are cheap and done fast usually have flaws. I am not saying that all fast groomers use harmful methods to make the dogs cooperate cos i have seem many good examples of being fast and efficient. What I am trying to say is that every dog’s character varies. On top of that, dogs are living things which has moods. A groomer can’t guarantee the duration of the grooming session cos most dogs needs to be coax. many considerations like, character of the dog, mood of the dog and dogs dislike to cut nails, bathe or even blow-drying. All these are why groomers need more time to comfort the dog.
Anyway, my condolences to the owner of Junior. I hope she finds peace.
